Gym Skills is Gymnastics Australia’s fundamental gymnastics program designed for boys and girls aged 8–12 years.
The program focuses on developing all-round physical skills, coordination, confidence and body awareness, while encouraging children to enjoy being active and participate in sport.
Gymnasts will develop skills across the four Women’s Artistic Gymnastics apparatus:
They will also develop skills on the trampolines and work on partner balances, similar to those used in Sports Acrobatics.
Gym Skills is a great recreational program for children wanting to learn and progress their gymnastics skills in a fun, active and supportive environment.
What to Wear
A CWG uniform is optional for this class. Gymnasts should wear comfortable clothing that allows them to move freely. For safety, clothing must have no zippers or hoods.
