FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS AGREEMENT, THREDBO FUN AND FITNESS WEEK IS A SINGLE EVENT.

1. I, the single event applicant, and if being a minor my parent/s and guardian/s for and on behalf of myself, acknowledge that it is a condition of participation in Canberra Runners Incorporated events and activities that I/we make the following representations and warranties and I/we hereby do so.
2. In this agreement, Canberra Runners Incorporated includes its directors, officers, employees, voluntary workers, agents, and contractors.
3. I/We agree to personal details such as name, age, gender, and performance being shown in published results, and my photographic image being published on Canberra Runners Incorporated websites, social media, and in any Canberra Runners Incorporated promotional and communication material such as newsletters.
4. I/We agree to be bound by the Member Protection Policy of Canberra Runners Incorporated and to the Member Code of Conduct set out in the By-Laws.
5. I/We agree to follow the instructions as provided by Canberra Runners Incorporated in regard to my safety and the safety of others.
6. I/We understand that entry fees are non-refundable. If the event or activity is cancelled due to circumstances outside the control of the Canberra Runners Incorporated, a partial refund may be offered.
7. I/We understand that by registering as a volunteer(s), I/we acknowledge that I/we will not be participating in any of the TFFW events and will solely be assisting the organiser at times throughout the week.

Acknowledgement of risk

1. I/We am aware of the inherent and extrinsic risks to my health, life, and property in participating in events and activities and agree to do so at my own risk.
2. I/We agree to assume all responsibility for any personal injury or death to myself or others resulting from, or arising out of, participation in Canberra Runners Incorporated events or activities.
3. I/We acknowledge that Thredbo Fun and Fitness Week (TFFW) includes a diverse range of activities, each with their own inherent risks. In addition, TFFW is held in an alpine environment which can involve extreme weather conditions, and many TFFW events are coordinated and led by community volunteers. I/We are aware of the hazards involved in each activity in which I/we choose to participate, and acknowledge that there is always risk of injury (including permanent injury, mental injury, paralysis and death) and damage to or loss of my/our property. TFFW hazards include, but are not limited to, remoteness from assistance or medical aid, unreliable mobile phone signal that can delay the summoning of assistance, illnesses caused by extreme weather that can happen with little warning, the strenuous nature of some of the events, becoming lost, and risk of collision with motorized vehicles or bicycles. By entering one or more TFFW events I acknowledge that I/we have sufficient competence, experience, survival skills and equipment to participate in a manner that is safe for myself and others.
4. I/We acknowledge that I am under no obligation to participate in or complete the event if I have any concerns about my ability to do so.
5. I/We understand that the event organisers will conduct a safety briefing that will include an opportunity for me/us to ask questions, and I/We undertake to ask questions of the event organisers if there is anything that is not clear to me/us.
6. To the best of my/our knowledge, I/We am physically able to participate in the event and know of no reason as to why I/we should not.

Release of Canberra Runners Inc and indemnity

1. I/We agree to waive, release and discharge forever Canberra Runners Incorporated in relation to any personal injury or death to myself or otherwise resulting from, or arising out of, my participation in Canberra Runners Incorporated events and activities (the "Waiver").
2. Without limiting the operation of the Waiver, I/we acknowledge and agree that the Waiver shall extend to any personal injury or death to myself caused by:
   i. the negligence, action, or inaction of Canberra Runners Incorporated or other users of, or persons present at, the event or activity; or
   ii. my own negligence, action, or inaction.
3. I/We agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Canberra Runners Incorporated from and against any claim, cause of action, liability or judgment resulting from, or arising out of, or in connection with my participation in Canberra Runners Incorporated events to which the foregoing waivers apply.

Member to bear medical and treatment costs

1. I/We acknowledge that individual personal accident insurance is not included in my participation. In the event of injury, accident, or illness, I/we consent to receiving initial first aid treatment (if Canberra Runners Incorporated considers it appropriate) and paying all costs associated with ambulance transportation (if required), and ongoing medical treatment.

Privacy

1. I/We understand that my personal details will be handled in accordance with the Canberra Runners Incorporated’s Privacy Policy.
2. I/We waive Canberra Runners Incorporated for any liability arising out of or related to a cyber security breach.
3. I/We acknowledge that the information given on this form or otherwise provided by me (or my parent/s or guardian/s) to Canberra Runners Incorporated is true and correct.

COVID-19 limitations

1. I/We agree not to attend Canberra Runners Incorporated activities and events if I/we am/are experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if I/we am/are required to self-isolate (e.g., while awaiting test results). I/We also agree to comply with Canberra Runners Incorporated's COVID-19 Policy and any related policies of Canberra Runners Incorporated.
