2026 Hockey Australia (HA) National Registration Terms and Conditions
Your application for membership will be considered and may be accepted or rejected in accordance with the relevant AHO's governing rules. There is no appeal where Your application is rejected. In consideration of Your application for membership of the AHO, You agree to the following terms and conditions (Terms):
Definitions
1. In these Terms, the following words have the corresponding meaning:
(a) Activity means participating in any capacity in any hockey match, competition, event, or activity (including
training), whether on a one-off basis or as part of a series, league, or competition, which is sanctioned or
organised by a Relevant Organisation, including but not limited to participation as a player, coach, support
personnel, official or administrator.
(b) Australian Hockey Organisation (AHO), which means and includes HA, MAs, Regional Associations and
Clubs.
(c) Club means any hockey club which is a member of, or affiliate to a Regional Association or MA that enters a
player or a team to participate in an Activity.
(d) Hockey Australia (HA) means Hockey Australia Limited (ACN 088 988 836).
(e) Member Association (MA) means each state and territory member of HA recognised under the HA
Constitution.
(f) National Integrity Framework (NIF) means the HA National Integrity Framework consisting of:
a. Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy
b. Member Protection Policy;
c. Competition Manipulation and Sport Gambling Policy;
d. Improper Use of Drugs and Medicine Policy; and
e. Complaints, Disputes and Discipline Policy;
subject to amendment from time to time by HA and made available at www.hockey.org.au/integrity.
(g) Participant means a person who is registered, or entitled to participate, in an Australian Hockey
Organisation Activity
(h) Regional Association means those regional or metropolitan hockey associations which are members of or
affiliated to a Member Association.
(i) Rules mean all rules, regulations, by-laws and policies of the relevant AHO, including but not limited to the:
a. Relevant AHO’s constitution;
b. NIF;
c. HA Code of Conduct;
d. HA Social Media Policy; and
e. Hockey Australia Concussion Policy;
subject to amendment from time to time by HA and made available at www.hockey.org.au/integrity or as made available by the relevant AHO.
(j) You,Your or Yourself means you, and any child or young person under 18 upon whose behalf you register with an AHO, and accept these Terms, where the context so permits.
Compliance with Rules
2. You commit to safeguarding all Participants, particularly children and young people, from harmful behaviours such as abuse, bullying, harassment, discrimination, grooming, and other forms of misconduct. You are expected to report any incidents or concerns promptly.
3. You agree to be bound by and comply with all Rules, directions, determinations and decisions made by the
relevant AHO.
4. You acknowledge and accept that breaching any Rules may result in disciplinary action including termination of Your membership.
5. Without limiting the application of any relevant Rules or any right to terminate Your membership under the AHO's governing rules, the relevant AHO may terminate Your membership registration at any time, including if Your participation or behaviour interferes with any other Participant's safety or enjoyment of hockey, subject to any requirements of the relevant AHO's constitution.
6. You accept responsibility for familiarising yourself with the Rules and any updates, as well as additional Rules adopted by the relevant AHO and communicated to You in the future.
7. HA may provide educational resources to assist Participants in understanding their obligations under the NIF and
other Rules. Visit www.hockey.org.au/integrity for more information.
Reporting Obligations
8. You agree that if You see, hear, or experience any suspicious or unwelcome activity, or any integrity issues or
concerns, including but not limited to child safety, abuse, harassment, bullying, match-fixing or doping, You must
report it through one of the following channels:

Assumption of Risk
9. There are risks associated with participation in Activities, and accidents can and do happen, which may result in personal injury, death or property damage. You should ensure You are aware of all risks involved, including those associated with any health condition You may have. You acknowledge, understand and accept all risks involved in Your participation in Activities.
10. You consent to receive any medical treatment that an AHO reasonably considers necessary or desirable for You during your participation in Activities if You cannot make a rational decision about Your consent at the time. You agree to reimburse the relevant AHO for any costs or expenses incurred in providing You with such medical treatment.
Disclosure of medical conditions
11. You warrant that prior to undertaking any Activities You are:
a. and must continue to be medically and physically fit and able to undertake and participate in Activities; and
b. not a danger to Yourself or to the health and safety of others.
12. You acknowledge that You must not participate in any Activities if you have any pre-existing medical (mental or
physical) or other condition that may affect the risk that either You or any other person will suffer injury, loss or damage.
13. You acknowledge that AHOs rely on information provided by You. You represent and warrant that all such information is accurate, up-to-date and complete.
14. You agree to report any accidents, injuries, loss or damage You suffer during any Activities to the relevant
AHO before You leave any relevant venue in the manner required by the relevant AHO.
Privacy and Use of Personal Information
15. The personal information that the AHO collects from You may be used and disclosed for the purposes set out in
the HA Privacy Policy available at www.hockey.org.au/integrity and the privacy policy of the AHO, if any, including
administering and marketing competitions, activities and other events; and the provision of hockey- related information and communication from AHOs. You expressly consent to the collection, use and disclosure of such personal information.
16. You may opt out of your email being used for communication purposes by contacting the relevant AHO and/or
managing Your communication preferences online.
The relevant AHO may use third parties (such as IT providers, venue operators or survey providers) to collect
Your personal information or give them your information to help run hockey, as required by law. The AHO will always act in accordance with the Australian Hockey Privacy Policy and its privacy policy, if any. You expressly consent to the collection, use and disclosure of such personal information.
17. Subject to applicable Rules (including the HA Privacy Policy), You consent to photographs and video captured, recorded and livestreamed during Your participation in any Activities and to AHOs using Your name, image, participation, performance and likeness (Image) in any form or medium for:
a. general marketing and promotional activities related to hockey in Australia; or
b. the administration of hockey in Australia (e.g., to assist in identifying and investigating prohibited conduct
under the NIF or for use in disciplinary proceedings, including tribunal hearings);
in each case without your further consent being necessary.
18. If You wish to withdraw or vary Your consent to Your Image being used for general marketing
and promotional activities related to hockey in Australia, please notify the relevant AHO.
19. An AHO may apply additional terms and conditions in relation to Your registration, including, but not limited to,
the collection of Your personal information.
20. Where there is any overlap between these Terms and any additional terms applied by an AHO in
accordance with clause 19, these Terms prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
Insurance and Membership Cancellation
21. If Your application is accepted, You become entitled to a level of insurance protection as detailed at
www.hockey.org.au/play/registration-and-insurance. You acknowledge that this coverage is limited and does not
include all potential risks. You are strongly encouraged to review Your personal insurance needs to ensure
comprehensive protection while participating in Activities.
22. Subject to any requirements of the relevant AHO's constitution, You must notify the AHO in writing if You wish to
cancel your registration. Following the AHO's confirmation to You of Your registration cancellation, You will have no entitlement to the benefits that attach to Participants.
23. Refunds may be provided but only in the circumstances set out in the HA Refund Policy.
Parent/Guardian Declaration
Where the applicant is under 18 years of age the below must be acknowledged by the applicant’s parent or legal guardian:
You represent and warrant that You are the parent and/or legal guardian of the applicant. You authorise and consent
to the applicant registering and participating in Activities. In consideration of the applicant's membership to the AHO
being accepted, You expressly agree to be responsible for the applicant's behaviour and agree to accept, in Your
capacity as parent or guardian, the terms set out in this membership declaration. In addition, You agree to be bound
by and to comply with the Rules and all other rules, regulations, by-laws and policies of the relevant AHO.

CMCHA BYLAWS
CENTRAL MIDLANDS COASTAL HOCKEY ASSOCIATION INC
BY-LAWS
We as an association are governed under the CMCFL and Hockey WA
(Amended November 2019)
By-Laws to be read in conjunction with the Constitution and bylaws of the Central Midlands Coastal Football League and the Rules of the Game of Hockey are issued under the authority of the Joint International Hockey Rules Board.
The CMCHA will be administered in all aspects from the Board of the CMCFL, in conjunction with the Operations Manager. All decision made under these rules will be the responsibility of the CMCFL and will be made in the best interests of Hockey in the CMCHA in its entirety.
- THE ASSOCIATION
- The CMCHA shall run under the constitution and ruling of the Board of Directors of the Central Midlands Coastal Football League
- CLUBS
2.1 Each Club shall advise in writing the name, address and telephone number of its President and Secretary to the Operations Manager of the CMCFL before the 30th of December each year.
2.2 Each Club shall register its senior and junior uniform with the Operations Manager of the CMCFL one week prior to the first meeting of each year.
2.3 Each Club must register its uniform or any change thereof annually by forwarding to the Operations Manager Of the CMCFL the design and colour for approval by the Association. Should the colour of uniforms be similar, the team mentioned second in a fixture shall be required to change its colour for that match.
2.4 Each Club shall notify to the Operations Manager Of the CMCFL as required, the number of teams being entered by that Club eg: 1 Senior, 1 Junior, 1 Minkey and that Club’s home ground.
2.5 Each club will be responsible for ensuring that all players are registered online in the electronic system as prescribed by Hockey WA and the CMCHA/CMCFL.
2.6 A Junior or Senior member may play in more than one Association, but must play at least five (5) games in the CMCHA to qualify for finals. Clubs must indicate on the team registration forms (Senior and Junior) in the column provided, players playing in two associations. An email must be sent to the Association Registrar should a Club have players coming into the team during the playing season and playing in two associations.
2.7 Each team (JUNIOR and SENIOR) shall select eleven (11) players for each game and number them in accordance with their top number, on the result card. Each club may select five (5) other players as substitutes, these players’ names to be written on the back of the score card. These names are to be added onto the front of the result card by the Interchange Officials when the substitution takes place. Each team must supply one interchange official.
2.8 A Junior or Senior member may play in more than one Association but must play at least four (4) games in the CMCHA to qualify for finals. Clubs must indicate on the team registration forms (Senior and Junior) in the column provided, players playing in two associations. An email must be sent to the Association Registrar should a Club have players coming into the team during the playing season and playing in two associations.
2.9 No players shall take part in semi-finals or finals unless they have played three (3) matches with their Club in that particular grade that season or they have played four (4) if playing in two associations.
2.9 A fixture must be played as originally drawn and no team or any Club will be granted permission for a bye on any specific date unless permission has been specifically authorized by the Match Committee.
2.10 Any Club wishing to resign shall intimate its intention in writing to the Operations Manager Of the CMCFL. If a Club is forced to disband before the close of the season, all matches played by it shall be cancelled and providing it is financial with the Association, its members may be registered with other Clubs. If unfinancial, the Association shall levy the individual members applying for re-registration. No Club shall be allowed to use the name of the disbanded Club unless that Club accepts responsibility of any debts owing to the Association by the disbanding Club. If any team within a Club withdraws from a competition before the close of the season, all points awarded to that team shall be cancelled.

- All teams must provide umpires as required by Association and/or umpires representatives.

- Pre – season carnival to be organized by each club in rotational order as outlined in By-Law 1.c. In the event of a club not wishing to hold the carnival, it will be passed to the next team listed. Notification of agreeance to organize the carnival, carnival date and venue to be received by the Operations Manager four (4) weeks prior to the date.
- CONDUCT OF MATCHES

- Each Club is to be responsible for the marking of its own home ground black (non lime).
3.2 For the match each home team shall provide at least one (1) white hockey ball of standard requirements in serviceable condition to satisfaction of the umpire.
3.3 No team shall commence play with less than seven (7) players. In the event of any team being unready or unwilling to commence play at the scheduled time, the match shall be forfeited in favour of the team that was ready to play.
3.4 A team with less that eleven (11) players may add extra players during the progress of the game until the full compliment of eleven (11) is reached.
3.5 A team intending to forfeit must notify the Operations Manager of the CMCFLand the other team concerned as early as practicable before the match. A score of three (3) goals to nil shall be recorded against each team that forfeits a match. Failure to notify forfeit will result in a fine.
3.6 Any team, in any grade, forfeiting more than three (3) matches in a season is to be disqualified from any further matches that season.
3.7 No player shall take part in a match except in the uniform as shall have been registered by their Club with the Association. Any special exception to the rule as to the playing uniform shall be at the discretion of the umpire. When in uniform, no player shall behave on any occasion in a manner which reflects discredit to the Association. Breach of this rule may invoke expulsion of the player, players or Club concerned from the association.
3.7 If a player is required to wear any variation to their Club’s registered uniform for medical reasons, they must provide the CMCHA with a valid medical certificate from their doctor.
3.8 Players who wear short skins/bike pants for non-medical reasons, under their uniform may do so if they are black, nude or the colour of their club’s uniform. If the short skins/bike pants become visible, players have to wear the same colour as the skirt.
3.9 Players who fill in for 1 game should have exemption to this rule.
3.10
a) An umpire who is approved by the Association shall be considered as a delegate of the authority of the Association during the progress of a match, and proper respect is to be paid to them, and their rulings during the progress of the match shall be final and shall not be the subject of dispute or argument, except in extra – ordinary circumstances.
b) In the event of excessive harassment of umpires by coaches, club members, officials or supporters, umpires shall have the power to stop the game, call both Captains and ascertain whether the person/s is a coach, club official, club member or supporter, and –
- If a coach, club member, club official or spectator, write the name and club on card and ask the captain to warn the offender that, if harassment persists, the game may be suspended and allocation of points shall be decided by the Protests and Disputes Committee.

- Each team is responsible for providing an umpire for each senior and junior fixture.
- Every player within the CMCHA must be registered online prior to participating in a game of hockey. This process is all done by the player in the online portal.
- Any Clubs who play a player who is not registered will face penalties as the Directors set from time to time.

- A card system of result checking shall be used and the card shall record the final result of the match played, goal scorers of both teams, a list of players (surname and Christian names) in both teams, captains of both teams. Cards must be signed by both captains and both officiating umpires. All scores to be phoned, texted or emailed to the Association Registrar and the Operations Manager on Sunday afternoon before 5.00pm, score cards to be received by the Association Registrar before the following weekend. Failure to comply will result in a $20.00 fine for the offending Club. If the Association Registrar cannot be contacted, phone the Operations Manager. The Association Registrar shall check these figures weekly and keep a tabular record of same, which shall be final evidence of the results of matches and the positions of the teams on the premiership tables. The Association Registrar shall also keep a record of all registrations and the matches in which a registered member has played and report to the Association any discrepancies they observe.
