Registrations for this event are closed.
1.1 Competition Classes are:
– Premier Women Standard Boat,
Premier Mixed Standard Boat,
Premier Women Small Boat,
Premier Open Small Boat.
1.2 Each Standard crew must have a minimum of 16 paddlers, a sweep and a drummer.
Maximum of 20 paddlers. There shall be a minimum of eight (8) to a maximum of twelve (12) paddlers of either gender in a mixed crew, or a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 11 of either gender if there are 18 paddlers. The maximum squad number is 26, including a sweep and drummer.
Each Small crew must have a minimum of 8 paddlers. The maximum squad number is 14, including a sweep and drummer.
No double rostering of paddlers, sweeps or drummers is allowed between standard boats or between small boats. But paddlers, sweeps or drummers may be in both a standard and a small boat.
1.3 Women’s crews must be 100% women from stem to stern.
1.4 Boats will be Champion dragon boats hired from the Wairarapa Dragon Boat Club.
1.5 No refunds are given if a team withdraws from the Championship after the closing date
