About

A bit of history about our club:

Richard Bridge started to introduce Hapkido to his students on the Central Coast in 1981. The club was taken over by Ric McClure after Richard stopped teaching in about 1991. We opened our first full time dojang at Wyong in 1996 with Ron Rees as our full time instructor. The club has bosted many fine students and instructors over the last 25 years.

About Hapkido:

Modern Hapkido dates to the postwar era in Korea. It is the product of the interaction of several Masters and traditions. Hapkido is a comprehensive Martial Art that incorporates striking with hands and feet, knees and elbows, throwing and grappling as well as a comprehensive arsenal of joint locks. Our Hapkido also includes a broad range of weapon training. The breadth of Hapkido allows the practitioner to adapt to many situations.

One of the founders of modern Hapkido Grandmaster Ji Han Jae throwing our senior instructor Ron Rees during a seminar at our dojang in 1996.
