Hookin2Hockey

When: Games are on a Saturday afternoon (2 x 15min halves) between 1pm and 3pm.   Rosters run for 5 weeks during each school term. There are no games on long weekends. 

Training is 5pm – 6pm on Wednesdays during the 5 week term program. 

2025 dates:

Where: Tasmanian Hockey Centre Bell St, New Town

Equipment: A properly fitted mouthguard, shin guards, and hockey stick.  All are available for purchase at the Just Hockey Shop at the hockey centre.  The club can provide shinpads and a stick if needed. 

Cost: FREE!  Kids also need an annual registration with Hockey Tas (see links below).

Uniform: Junior club socks can be purchased from Just Hockey for $12.  The club has a pool of uniform to lend out for Hookin2Hockey participants, or you are welcome to purchase your own from our club uniform officer (see links below)

Teams: are made up of 5, 6, or 7 players depending on age. We group kids together based on friendship groups.

Divisions are:

• 1/8 field and 5 players per team, Prep – Grade 2
• 1/4 field and 6 players per team, Grades 3 and 4
• 1/2 field and 7 players per team, Grades 5 and 6

Gate Passes: Hockey Tas provide free Saturday family gate passes for Hook2Hockey participants upon registration (via Registration link below).  These are distributed at the start of each term.
