Cairns Dragon Boat Club is excited to be attending the 50th Vogalonga in 2026. It is the legendary non-competitive event held in Venice on 24 May 2026.
The course is about 32 kms, winding through the Venetian Lagoon and past islands like Murano, Burano, Sant’Erasmo, and returning via the Grand Canal. It’s open to all non motorised boats such as traditional Venetian rowing boats, kayaks, canoes and of course dragon boats. Vogalonga started in 1974, originally as a way to raise awareness of damag
