The club was established in September 1990 and follows the teachings of the legendary Hirokazu Kanazawa Soke.
The club is registered with Shotokan Karate International Australia (SKIA), which is a branch of Shotokan Karate International Federation (SKIF), headed by Nobuaki Kanazawa Kancho.
