Corrections:

Correcting positions is sometimes made easier through physical contact. Physically moving a students arms/legs to the correct position is a quick & easy method of correction, particularly in young students. All of our teachers have current WWC checks and may touch students in order to correct their positions.

Team selection:

Team selection occurs throughout the year and is based on many factors. The aim of a team is to work in synchronicity and so the ability of a team member to do so is imperative to team selection & placement. Wherever possible, Brisbane Water United provides an opportunity for as many members as they can to be in a team. As enrolment numbers fluctuate, this often requires the movement of members outside of their age group and the combining of different age groups to assemble teams. This is within the rules of BjP which we are required to adhere to. By becoming a member of our club, you agree to the selection process and agree that in order to be considered for teams, you must be willing to commit to the required lesson times firmly as teams approach so as not to let down the other members of your team. We reserve the right to remove a member of a team if they have poor attendance, are unavailable for key practices leading up to competitions or upon their advice. Respect the decisions and expertise of your club teachers with regards to the selections of teams and placement within the team.

Out of Bounds:

Members are only under supervision during their class time within the hall. The school grounds including the playground and outside the school gates are out of bounds and members will not be supervised or covered by insurance should an incident or injury occur.

Brisbane Water United only rent the hall space and therefore have to abide by the Department of Education and Trainings guidelines. All equipment belonging to the school should  NOT be utilised or disrespected.
