Storage shed
The storage shed floor has now been painted. A BIG Thank You to Mal J and Lynn G for all the hard work in trying to get matching paints, but to no avail. A BIG Thank You to the hard workers Michael I, Bruce B and Richard H for finishing off the area around the shed with the paving. A BIG Thank You to John G for sourcing and picking up those fantastic new chairs.
Our next task is to sort out how we are going to store all of the club’s assets. There are currently in excess of 270 items listed on the club’s asset register. Keep your eye out for some good bargains.
Grants
The Grants month has now passed, and the club is eagerly waiting to hear if our applications were successful.
Care and Maintenance of courts
The club has finally received the Care and Maintenance Procedures for the courts from the Council.
Please Note:
Heavy airborne pollution such as leaves has a tendency to settle rapidly into the court surface. If these contaminants are not regularly removed, they will be ground into the topcoat and, with prolonged use, will cause staining and unnecessarily premature surface wear.
It is recommended that foreign deposits be hosed off at least once a week to minimise build-up of pollutants. Should the surface become stained or generally dirty, it can be cleaned with a light-duty wet scrubber/vacuum machine with a soft brush attachment.
To assist in the General Maintenance two wooden squeegees and a Rain Shuttle have been purchased, however, what needs addressing is the Care and Maintenance of the bird droppings at the end of court 4.
Session Hosts
What a fantastic job these devoted hosts do to make your session of pickleball enjoyable. Keep up the great work!
Thank you
