Breakaways Softball Club was established in 1993 at Karoonda Oval, Booragoon with a single team and grew to 13 teams by 2013, currently fielding four teams across winter and summer.  After relocating to SEMSA in 1995, we also joined the men’s division at DDMSA, maintaining annual participation since then. The club has competed in various regional carnivals and leagues, including the inaugural Men’s Vets Competition, Women’s Vets teams, and regular entries in Geraldton’s June carnival.  Breakaways teams have achieved medals at both Australian and World Masters Games, notably earning Gold, Silver, and Bronze in multiple age groups at venues in Perth, Sydney, Torino, New Zealand, and Adelaide.

Breakaways have two Masters competing at the Australian Masters in Canberra 2025 (18-25 October) and fundraising is curently underway, if you would like to join us contact our Registrar at Breakawaysregistrar1993@gmail.com.
