Boccia is a Paralympic sport of strategy, precision, and skill — andwe’re looking for people determined and ready to aim for the top! There are pathways from social through to high peformance.
Who we’re looking for: **People with impairments in all four limbs, including:
Spinal Cord Injury
Acquired Brain Injury
Cerebral Palsy
Muscular Dystrophy
Motor Neuron Disease
Spinal Muscular Atrophy
Transverse Myelitis
Spina Bifida
Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (with the overall strength of grade 3/5 or less in the upper limb muscle groups and trunk)
Arthrogryposis
MS, TARS Syndrome, Juvenile Arthritis and Osteogenesis Imperfecta (which results in overall poor strength of grade 3/5 in the Upper limb muscle groups and/or limited range of movement)
You must be able to throw, kick, or release the ball without a ramp (adaptations allowed).
