This competition is an intra-club competition and is open to all BPPC financial members, including PA-Licensed and Social members.
It is a team competition for teams of 2 people (Doubles). After registrations have closed, the composition of the teams cannot be changed for the duration of the competition, subject to the discretion of the BPPC Committee of Management being exercised in response to unusual circumstances.
The captain of each team is responsible for registering their team.
The entry fee for the competition is $25 per player and is to be paid no later than the commencement of the first round.
The competition will commence on Sunday, 24 May 2026 and conclude on Sunday, 29 November 2026 (to avoid a clash with the Avoca Triples on 21 and 22 November) and include 5 rounds played on the 4th Sunday of the month - June to October.
The precise dates for the 3 rounds from June to October will be determined to ensure as many teams as possible are given the opportunity to participate in all 5 rounds.
This competition is an aggregate competition with the cumulative total of wins and delta points over the 5 rounds determining the overall winners.
The format for each of the 5 rounds will be as follows:
- A maximum of 4 games to be played in each round, so play should finish prior to 15:30;
- The draw will be a Random Draw, but teams will not play each other more than once in each round;
- Each game will be 50 minutes + one end + one tiebreaker end;
- Play will start at 11:00 and there will be a 15 minute break after the conclusion of the first 2 games.
The Grand Finale round will be played on Sunday, 29 November 2026 to be followed by a sausage sizzle with BYO salads and presentation of the winner's trophy by the 2025 champions - Julie and Andrew Macaulay.
