Our Matches

Beaudesert Target Pistol Club Inc. is dedicated to the pursuit of ISSF pistol shooting, offering club members and affiliated visitors an opportunity to participate in a number of ISSF target pistol events.

ISSF is a very purist form of the shooting sports and is concerned only with attaining the highest possible score on specified targets in accordance with the rules as set down for each match.

Many members of our club shoot just to maintain a personally satisfying standard and have done so for years. In this respect, pistol shooting can be compared with golf, which is also a “lifetime” sport and one in which there are literally hundreds of recreational participants for every regular tournament player.

Accordingly, while recreational shooters may restrict their participation to club events, they still have performance goals, such as a personal best, a grade break, or winning their grade at the club championships. However, striving for any performance goal is a form of competition, and in this respect, recreational shooters face the same challenges as those who compete in open tournaments.
