Welcome to Ballina Tridents Volleyball Club! 

Ballina Tridents Volleyball offer a range of coaching programs and social games for players 12+ across all range of skills and experience. Please read below for information about the times and days for each program.  

We are excited to offer dedicated coaching for junior developing athletes as well as a representative program for athletes at a competitive level, along with senior social games and senior men's, women's and mixed teams who wish to travel and compete at a competitive level. 

NEW Monday Night Comp (GSAC)
Open for anyone to enter, all ages and experience levels. Our very first comp at GSAC in Goonellabah. 
Starting on Monday the 20th of July and running through to the end of Term 3 (10 weeks). Please email ballinavolleyball@gmail.com to nominate a team or, if you are in indivual player, to request to join a team. 
Nomintions will close on Saturday the 18th of July. 

Social Senior Games (BISC)
Open to all players aged 18+ to come and enjoy a social game of volleyball.
Every Friday evening 5:30pm-7:30pm at the BISC in Ballina during the school terms, all year round. 
We have a broad range of players from beginners to national and international level players. All levels of skill and experience welcome!
We have 5 social teams and a weekly draw, each team has 2 games and 1 duty. We ask that you arrive prior to 5:30pm if you need to put your name down for a team as we like to begin our first game on time. All senior players are required to pay an annual senior registration fee of $30. Weekly social games are $10 whenever you choose to come along.

This is generally where we organise and discuss any senior players who may be interested in travelling and competing in various tournaments throughout the year, for those who wish to play at a competitive level with the Ballina Tridents mens and womens teams. If you are interested in our Senior Rep teams, please let us know. 

Junior Development Program (BISC)
Junior training is held at the BISC in Ballina on Thursdays 3:30pm-5:30pm.
For high school age (12-18) athletes who wish to improve and develop their volleyball skills facilitated by a team of experienced and qualified coaches. Athletes will work on a range of warm ups, drills and modified games across terms 1-3 of the school year.
The program cost is $185 per term and is due prior to the start of each term, every player must be registered prior to taking the court.

Junior Rep Program (BISC) CLOSED
Ballina Tridents proudly offer a highly successful representative program in which athletes are given the opportunity to travel and compete at various regional and interstate tournaments throughout the volleyball season. This is a separate program to our junior development program, with separate training (see below), mandotry tournament attendance and additional fees. Athletes can choose to participate in one or the other or both. 

There is a selection process in place, in which successful athletes will be offered a the opportunity to represent Ballina Tridents for the 2026 season as part of our rep squad.
Training will start on the 12th of March until the end of term 3, the 24th of September.
All junior athletes are welcome and encrouaged to trial if they wish to play in tournaments at a competitive level. 
Further details will be released closer to the date of trials and all information regarding mandatory tournament dates, training nights and program cost will be provided to athletes who wish to try out.
