Tournaments

Badminton NSW supports a range of competitive opportunities for players across the state. Tournaments are generally classified as sanctioned or non-sanctioned events.

Sanctioned tournaments are officially approved competitions conducted in accordance with national regulations and overseen by referees appointed by Badminton NSW. Results from these events contribute to the national ranking system and form part of the recognised competitive pathway for players. Sanctioned tournaments are listed in the Events section of the Badminton NSW website and operate under the guidelines established by Badminton NSW.

Non-sanctioned tournaments are independently organised community competitions. While these events provide additional opportunities for players to compete, they are not administered, endorsed, or regulated by Badminton NSW and do not award national ranking points.
