Para Poomsae Sport Classes

The latest updated World Para Taekwondo Poomsae Competition Rules will be implemented for competition.
Article 9.1 will be used for competitions for All Sport Classes. There is a free choice for athletes to choose (1) Poomsae from Group 1 and (1) Poomsae from Group 2 for each round.
All P30 athletes will be assigned an "R", review Sport Class Status, and must go through classification again at their first tournament under the new World Para Taekwondo Athlete Classification Rules. It is essential that a new MDF be submitted to the WTCS no later than registration deadline of the 2023 10th World Para Taekwondo Championships
For the P20 Sport Class, Virtus International Eligibility is still recognised. A new system for eligibility will be introduced. There will be an "MDF" for P20.
IQ test from verified psychologist will be required as well as medical report. If AAI is present with downs syndrome this needs to be noted too. MDF and IQ test, AAI is required to be uploaded to the WTCS.

Para Poomsae Competition Rules
Latest version of the World Para Taekwondo Competition Rules will be used.
The Competition in the Poomsae Sport Classes at the 2023 10th World Para Taekwondo Championship will use Article 12 Procedure of Contest of the new World Para Taekwondo Poomsae Competition Rules. Click here to view.
Para Poomsae Uniform
Contestants shall wear WT-approved Poomsae competition uniform or the standard white taekwondo uniform at WT-promoted Para Poomsae Championships. See a list of recognised products here.
Division (Ages 18 and up): Only WT approved Poomsae competition uniform.
Para Poomsae Results
Results will be available via the results section of the website within 24 hours of the event conculsion.
