Hey paddlers, come and join us for a fun and easy kayak trip up the Onkaparinga estuary.

Wear suitable boating clothes - same as you wore for basic skills, bring water, snacks and your lunch. Bring a light waterproof jacket and a fleece or warm top in case the weather changes. Sunglasses and camera or phone, preferable in a waterproof case are useful. AUMC has some drybags to keep your clothing and equipment dry.

We will gather some 'citizen science data' esp photos of the different vegetation and wildlife  eg birds, kangaroos etc along the estuary and water turbidity/clarity measurements. Distance will depend on water levels but 10-14 km is likely.

This trip is open to all members who have done basic kayak skills with AUMC. It is NOT open to members who have not completed this training. We can take 8 members including additional tripleaders, so register ASAP. We will meet at the boatshed at 9am and return about 3pm.
