About
Welcome to the Adelaide University Lacrosse Club (AULC) – where history, community, and good times come together.
Founded in 1889 by Nobel Prize winner Professor William Henry Bragg, AULC is one of the oldest lacrosse clubs in Australia and a founding member of the Adelaide University Sports Association. We compete locally in the Lacrosse SA competition and proudly take part in an annual varsity match against Melbourne University, a tradition dating back to 1905.
But we’re more than just tradition – we’re a tight-knit, social club that welcomes complete beginners and experienced players alike.
Why Play Lacrosse?
Lacrosse is fast-paced, energetic, and blends elements of ice hockey, field hockey, basketball, and football. It's dynamic, strategic, and incredibly fun. The skills are easy to pick up, and every year we welcome a big group of first-timers – so if you're new, you won’t be alone.
We’re passionate about team spirit and building friendships, on and off the field. Whether you're here to compete, get fit, or just meet new people, you’ll be part of a team that values inclusivity, leadership, and community.
