Australian Team Achieves Outstanding Results at International Aikido Tournament

At the WSAF (World Sporting Aikido Federation) Championship held in Jaroslaw Poland (25 to 27 July) the Australian team competing this year was proudly represented by members of the Adelaide University Aikido Club, with all competitors being graduates of UniSA or The University of Adelaide. The team performed exceptionally well, showing significant improvement on our previous appearance in Tenri, Japan three years ago, where Australia secured a single bronze medal.

This time, the team returned home with an impressive collection of results:

• Bronze – Individual Women’s Randori - Anna

• Silver – Randori no Kata Anna & Binh

• Silver – Men’s Team Binh & Tom

• Silver – Ninin Dori Binh, Tom and Anna.

These achievements reflect the dedication, skill, and spirit of every participant. We would also like to thank Alica, Madison, Jess and of course our coach Andrew. A special shout out for Sorae, Kathy and Julia - who cheered us on.
