FAQs

FAQs

Q: Should I choose Returning Member or New Member?
A: Choose Returning Member if you have registered with another hockey club through Revolutionise prior to 2024. Otherwise choose New Member.

Q: What is the Hockey Australia levy?
A: A payment compulsory for players across the country. Comprises a Membership Levy and an Insurance Levy. See here for more information.

Q: What is the Club Affiliation Fee?
A: A payment to ANU Sport. $130 for each member, except for those enrolled as a student at ANU (who instead pay CAF). Until 2019 this was a separate payment (then known as the SRA fee), made by each member directly to ANU Sport, whereas now it is bundled with the membership fees. See here for more information.

Q: What if I've already paid the Club Affiliation Fee?
A: If you have already paid the Club Affiliation Fee (for example, if you've paid through membership of another club that's affiliated with ANU Sport) then you'll still need to pay the $130, but then claim a reimbursement from ANU Sport. They will consider the amount of overlap between your duplicate memberships. Contact us if this applies to you, and we'll help you out.

Q: Do I have to pay all of my fees upfront?
A: No, the minimum you need to pay upon registration is the Hockey Australia levy. Choose the appropriate membership category with "pay later" in the name to take this option. We will then send you an invoice for the full amount. This must be paid by the sixth round of the season, unless a payment plan has been agreed upon with the Treasurer.

Q: How do I arrange a payment plan?
A: Contact the Treasurer. The earlier you do this, the better.

Q: What if I am currently an ANU Student but my enrolment will end partway through the season?
A: If you are currently an ANU Student then you should register as a student. It is your responsibility to then let the Treasurer know when your enrolment ends (e.g. through graduation). As a non-student you will then need to pay the ANU Sport Club Affiliation Fee, though the amount will be prorated depending on the time remaining of your membership.

Q: I am a current ANU Student who is also under the age of 18. Which category should I select?
A: You should select "03. Junior (pay later)". The club will then send you an invoice for the full amount (the same as for an over-18 ANU Student). Please also let the Treasurer know if this applies to you.

Q: I have already registered with another hockey club (e.g. Uni Juniors). How can avoid paying the Hockey Australia levy twice?
A: Choose "Renew" when registering for your second club.

Q: Why do I have to sign up for UniOne as well as the club via Revolutionize?
A: Because this is critical to securing ANU Sport funding and to keeping playing fees as low as possible.
