The Toowoomba Aces Softball Club was formed in the 1978-79 season, as the result of an idea of Lyn Lange and Alice Syberg. Maurice Hoppe was approached to become the women's A grade coach and the club fielded just one side in the first season. The original members were: Glenda Austin, Lyn Lange, Debbie Ibell, Gail Falknau, Yvonne Falknau, Lyn Riddle*, Elaine Francis, Lauren Cuckson, Mary Cuckson, Sue Bubeck, Caroline Krause, Hazel Bulmer and Kathy Janetski. This team would go on to win the Premiership that year!
In 1979-80 season saw Aces amalgamate with Mets Baseball Club to become known as the Metropolitan Sporting Club Inc.
Aces offer teams in all grades from U5 Tee Ball right through to Senior Men and Women for the 25/26 season that is due to start on 4 October 2025

Aces Club trainings are on Wednesday afternoons starting from 4:30pm
with all trainings at the Kearney Springs Sports Complex
