ABS Update – October 2025
2025 AGM
Registration for the AGM in Temora, NSW on 25 October closes soon on revolutionise: see https://www.revolutionise.com.au/abs/events/295626 which also includes some pdfs that provide more details. Register now as we must commit to catering etc in the next few days.
The AGM is proving to be one of our most popular events each year as a short trip to an interesting destination (Temora in 2025) at a time of year with reasonable weather in a central location. Come for the whole weekend or just the AGM. Again, the ABS will provide dinner after the AGM.
The Notice of Meeting for the AGM will go out shortly. Please consider nominating for the Committee.

Beta testers please!
If your aircraft is currently undergoing its annual inspection and/or substantial work, please let me know if you'd be willing to trial-run a “post maintenance” checklist that is in development and provide some feedback. This is intended to help ensure the safest return to service of an aircraft after maintenance. Just drop me a line at secretary@abs.org.au and I can give you more details.
TechTalk
Our next TechTalk is scheduled for next Tuesday 14 October on the topic of hydrogen powered Bonanzas. Join us to find out more about the progress being made byStralis Aircraft on cost effective emission-free hydrogen-electric propulsion systems and Beechcraft aircraft in Australia. Revo tip of the month
Revo contains a pdf list of members sorted by surname and by state of residence. This is for the use of members only and not for advertising. The lists can be found here. https://www.revolutionise.com.au/abs/members-information/member-information Years ago, the ABS printed a little booklet each year which has been replaced by these lists that are updated about every 6 months.
You will see further down that page are links to previous newsletters if you’ve missed any. And then there are several other tabs linking to useful information for members.
Of course, all of this requires logging-in, and revolutionise like all these platforms is very mindful of cybersecurity. Your login username is usually your initial and surname with a number. If you don’t have it, let us know and we can resend the username with a change-password link.
