Winter 2023 Round 1 is here!

Our women's team is up first, playing at Haileybury at 2:00 pm on Saturday 15 April, against Hawthorn. The men follow on Sunday 12:30 pm against Collegians-X at Monash. Season fixture now finalised. Please register with HA/HV -- and OHAHC -- now! Training on Wednesdays at Berwick Secondary College, 8:00 pm. Be there!

Vale Al (Alistair) Blackman

We farewelled Al early in December, after acknowledging his 253 games at our Presentation Lunch in November. Tragic to lose him as a consequence of his epilepsy. Our thoughts remain with his extended family and friends. We will wear black armbands for our round 1 matches to honour him further.

OHAHC Presentation Lunch on Saturday, 19 November.

Come along and celebrate the season that was (WPESE 5th of 9 teams, and MM2S 8th of 11)! Meals must be ordered in advance via Aly G no later than Tuesday, 8 November. Bar tab will operate, so pay only for your meal plus extra drinks. Contact Aly or Clark for details. SEE YOU THERE!!!

OHAHC round 16 -- Sat. 6 and Sun. 7 August

Our women's team up first, playing at home at Keysborough at 2:00 pm on Saturday against second-top-team Casey. The men on Sunday at 3:30 pm, away to Monash. Play hard and play for the game! Alas, losses last round -- just 1-0 for the women, and a fair 3-0 for the men against the ladder leaders. Great to see Lyndal return to the women's team and play her 150th match!!!

OHAHC round 15 -- Saturday, 30 July 2022

The ladies are playing away against Bayside at 12:40 pm, and the men are home at Haileybury at 2:00 pm against Glen Eira. Both teams battling higher-ranked opponents, so good luck! Last weekend, the men enjoyed a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mentone.

OHAHC round 14 -- Sunday, 24 July

A weekend off for our women's team, but the men will finish the weekend playing Mentone at their ground at 5:00 pm on the Sunday!!! Losses for both teams last weekend: 4-1 for the women and 2-0 for the men. Clark played winter match #700, so that was great!!

OHAHC round 13 -- Saturday, 16 July 2022

Men at home versus Knox at 2:00 pm (will Clark make his 700th game?), and the women playing at Yarra Valley Grammar at 1:30 pm -- note the strange time! Keep up the good work! A narrow 1-0 loss to the men in round 12, playing short. Another ladder-boosting win for our women's team, at 6-1. Great effort!

OHAHC round 12 -- Sat 9 and Sun 10 July

WPESE are at home on Saturday, playing Monash, while MM2S are playing Frankston at PHC on Sunday! Both matches hit off at 2:00 pm. We've had a week off -- can we continue our winning streaks?! In round 11, the women's team won 3-0 and the men won 5-1 ... great results!

OHAHC round 11 -- Sat 25 and Sun 26 June

Home again for the women, Saturday at 2:00 pm v. TEM. The men away on Sunday at Southern at 3:30 pm. Keep up the good work!! Both teams won in round 10, a narrow 1-0 win for the women against MHSOB and a crushing 10-0 win for the men against an understrength Collegians-X side.

OHAHC round 10 -- Saturday, 18 June

Men up first at Haileybury at 2:00 pm v Collegians-X. Women at Melbourne High School at 5:00 pm v MHSOB, and celebrating Lisa's 250th match! After a week off for everyone, let's get back to top form?! Narrow losses last round, with men down to St Bede's 1-0 and women to Camberwell 3-2.

OHAHC round 9 -- Saturday 4 or Sunday 5 June

Our women's team is up first, playing at Camberwell at 5:00 pm on Saturday. The men follow up at the Mentone ground at 2:00 pm on Sunday. Can the women keep the winning feeling, having defeated Hawthorn 2-1 last weekend, and can the men improve after the 3-3 draw with Dandenong? Go for it!!

OHAHC round 8 -- Saturday, 28 May

The only double-header at home for the whole season! (We had to play elsewhere in round 1.) Men first, versus Dandenong, and women second, versus Hawthorn. Let's see a return to the winner's circle with our home ground advantage!? Tough game last week for the women, hit for 8-2 by the top team.

OHAHC round 7 -- Late News -- Forfeit win for the men's team

Yes, unfortunately Mornington Peninsula has forfeited the match due to player numbers being depleted by illness. We were advised late on Friday night, with apologies for the late notice. That means the men can support the women's team instead!

OHAHC round 7 -- Saturday, 21 May

Our WPESE team (the women's team!) lost narrowly last weekend to Bayside (3-2) in a good tussle for control of the game. Turn the tables this weekend, playing Casey at Berwick at 3:30 pm. As for our MM2S team (the men!), with a week off, they'll be keen to whip Mornington Peninsula, playing at Haileybury at 2:00 pm.

OHAHC round 6 -- Saturday, 14 May (women only)

A bye for the men this time, with the women playing at home at 2:00 pm against Bayside Cougars. Good luck! Have fun after a week off! The men can rest for a week now, having lost narrowly 1-0 to Monash, with a lot of running and forward attack, but alas no goals.

OHAHC round 5 -- Saturday, 7 May (men only)

Discounted subs are due -- please note!!! A bye for the women, but the men are playing at home at 2:00 pm against Monash. Good luck! Let's pick ourselves up from the men's 2-0 loss to Glen Eira, which was a close game, and the women's 1-6 loss to the ladder leaders -- not the weekend to be short of players!

OHAHC round 4 -- Saturday 30 April or Sunday 1 May

Women vs Croydon Ranges at Haileybury on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Men vs Glen Eira at Elwood (new ground) on Sunday at 5:00 pm -- their turn for an unenviable time! In round 3, the men struggled without a goalie and finished 2-6 while the women were kept to a 1-1 draw. Will this weekend see a triumphant return?

OHAHC round 3 -- Saturday 23 or Sunday 24 April

The men are playing at home against Mentone on the Saturday at 2:00 pm. The women's team is playing away against Monash Univ on the Sunday at the unenviable time of 5:00 pm. Can both teams continue their winning ways? In round 2, the men charged to a 6-1 win and the women earned a solid 5-2 win! Well done all!!
