In 1954 the first womens team was formed. The mens team followed in 1956. At that time there were two assocations running hockey in the Goldfields, one for men and one for women.
In 1989 the two assocations combined to make the Eastern Goldfileds Hockey Assocation.
The two YM Club's also amalgamated together to create the EG YMHC Hockey Club.
The YM Hockey Club Inc as it is know today was consituted in 2014 following a restructure of the club and Y.M.C.A across Australia. Which saw our club move away from the National Y.M.C.A banner and to become a club in our own right.
The Club colours are Bottle Green, Red and White.
Our Club fields teams in all divisions of the Eastern Goldfields Association, in Mens and Womens A1 League and A2 Reserves, and the Junior Divisions of J3-8 boys and Girls and J9-12 Boys and Girls.
The Club is always seeking new members and if you play the sport of hockey or interested in joining we welcome you.
