Trials
Athletes are to arrive 30 minutes before the stated start time for warmup and briefing.
The trial age groups will align to the National State team age cohorts.
15&U Girls (Born 2010/11) Cost: $80 (trials 1-4)
Trial 1: Saturday 21 June, CCGS/MLC Pools, 2-4pm
Trial 2: Sunday 22 June, CCGS/MLC Pools, 1-3pm
Trial 3: Saturday 28 June, UWA Crawley, 12-2pm
Trial 4: Sunday 29 June, UWA Crawley, 12-2pm
Trial Information:
These trials are for selection to the State Team (15&U), set to compete at the 2025 National State Championships in Canberra, from 30 September – 4 October. Teams will depart on 28th September.
Athletes must be a member of a Water Polo WA club.
Registration:
Ensure you are logged, into revolutionise sport as the registering athlete (player username, not parent).
Cost:
The approximate cost for the athlete, that is selected in a state team is in the region of $4000.
State team costings are not inclusive of the state squad training sessions.
WPWA undertakes the conduct of State Teams as a cost-neutral exercise.
Pool Entry: Pool entry will be charged at some venues for both players and spectators.
Trial Etiquette: All spectators are to sit and observe within the grandstand/seating, do not sit on the pool deck, or approach the coaches or assessors. This is to enable coaches, selectors, and required officials to remain focused on the trials.
Uniform: To assist with the costs involved in representative water polo for families and athletes, WPWA will be, retaining the same uniform from the 2023-24 teams and with a new team T-shirt.
Additional information:
1. Please bring two towels and a warm jumper due to the teams/trials running.
2. Announcing a Fast 5 15&U Competition for the 1st weekend of the school holidays Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July both days at UWA Crawley, 12-1pm. Athletes trialling, for state teams, are encouraged to consider this event. Registrations will open soon.
