Player Registration – Winter Water Polo Event

We understand that committing to full teams can be challenging this season, so we are offering individual player registrations to make participation as accessible as possible.

If you don’t have a full team, you can register as an individual and we will do our best to place you into a team—prioritising grouping players with others from their club where possible.

Event Overview

We are running an 8-week competition-style event starting June 18th, designed to maximise time in the water while keeping costs affordable and commitment manageable.

This is not a formal winter competition, but a structured event focused on participation, flexibility, and enjoyment of the game.

How Registration Works

• Sign up as an individual player
• Indicate your club affiliation during registration
• We will:
  • Form teams of up to 7 players
  • Run games with 5 players in the water at a time
  • Aim to keep players with others from their club where possible
  • Combine players across clubs if needed to ensure everyone gets a team

Competition Format

• 5 players in the water at a time
• Teams of up to 7 players
• Fast-paced, modified format to maximise involvement and game time

Schedule

• Juniors: Sundays at AAC Indoor Pool
• Opens:
  
  • Thursdays at Adelaide Aquatic Centre

Game Length

• Juniors: 5-minute running quarters (25 minutes total)
• Opens: 6-minute running quarters (30 minutes total)

Season Structure

• 8 rounds total
• Includes a 2-week break during school holidays

Cost

• Individual cost will be allocated based on final team numbers, keeping fees aligned with:
  • Juniors: $500 per team
  • Opens: $370 per team
• Teams will be allocated first, and participants will be invoiced once teams are finalised

(We aim to keep individual contributions as affordable as possible.)
