GAME 3 | AUSTRALIA 14 - ITALY 13

The Ord Minnett Aussie Stingers have finished fifth at the 2025 World Aquatics World Cup after a thrilling penalty shoot out against Italy in their third and final game.

In the first quarter, the Ord Minnett Aussie Stingers got out to an early lead, with five goals to Italy's three. The Italians fired back in the second quarter, keeping the Aussies scoreless, and the scores level 5-5 at half time.

It was goal for goal in the third and fourth quarter, and with the scores locked at 10-10 at the end of regular time, the Ord Minnett Aussie Stingers headed into the penalty shoot out decider.

Ord Minnett Aussie Stingers goal keeper Gen Longman was crucial in the cage, making two important saves to help her team clinch the win.

GAME 2 | AUSTRALIA 16 - CHINA 14

The Ord Minnett Aussie Stingers have bounced back to claim a win against China in their second game at the 2025 World Aquatics World Cup Finals.

The Aussies got out to a flying start, with five goals in the opening quarter while managing to keep China to three goals.

The second quarter fell in the favour of the hosts, China, with six goals to Australia's third. But in the third quarter, the Ord Minnett Aussie Stingers scored seven goals to extend their lead to three goals heading into the last quarter.

In the end, the Ord Minnett Aussie Stingers walked away with a two goal victory, 16-14.

GAME 1 | AUSTRALIA 10 - HUNGARY 14

The Ord Minnett Aussie Stingers have gone down fighting in their opening game of the 2025 World Aquatics World Cup Finals in China.

It was a strong start for the Aussies, with two goals in the first quarter, before the Hungarians fired back in the second quarter with four, and head into half time with a 5-4 lead.

The Ord Minnett Aussie Stingers found the back of the net on three occasions in the third quarter, while the Hungarians scored another five goals.

Despite a strong defensive effort in the final quarter, the Hungarians extended their lead, leaving the Aussies falling just short with a 10-14 loss.
