Water Polo ACT is holding a FINA rules workshop for players, coaches, referees and parents ahead of the start of the 2019 Winter Competition.

While the Winter Competition will be held as a modified Fast5s format, we will be introducing the new FINA rules. As such, these workshops will provide members and parents with the opportunity to learn about the changes, see how they will impact the game, and ask questions.

The workshop will be facilitated by WPACT President and current FINA referee Andrew Carney.

Andrew has been refereeing under the new FINA rules during the 2019 Australian Water Polo League and at the most recent FINA Intercontinental Tournament. He will provide insight into how the rules are being interpreted at the highest levels and will provide a practical understanding about how the rules will be applied in the ACT.
