Notice: WPACT Annual General Meeting 2026

 

Dear Member,

Notice is hereby given that the 2026 Annual General Meeting of Water Polo ACT will be held as follows: 

Date: Sunday 18 October 2026

Time: 3pm

Location: Ainslie Football Club

 

The business of the meeting will include:

• confirmation of the minutes of the 2025 Annual General Meeting;
• consideration of the 2025/26 Annual Report, financial statements and Auditor’s Report;
• election of two Elected Directors;
• appointment of the auditor for the financial year ending 30 June 2027;
• consideration of any Life Member recommendations;
• appointment of the Patron; and
• consideration of any properly notified motions or special business.

Motions / Special Business

Members entitled to vote who wish to submit a motion for inclusion as special business at the AGM must submit the motion in writing to WPACT no later than Saturday 3 October 2026.

Motions should be submitted to the Interim Executive Officer at eo@waterpoloact.com

Director Nominations

Nominations are invited for two Elected Director positions, each for a two-year term.

Alexandra Spark and Tim Bennett will retire at the conclusion of the AGM and have advised that they will not be seeking re-election.

Completed Director Nomination Forms must be received no later than Thursday 8 October 2026 at eo@waterpoloact.com

The final AGM agenda, together with any motions received and details of nominations for election, will be circulated at least seven days prior to the AGM.

We encourage members to consider becoming involved in the governance of Water Polo ACT and to attend the AGM as we reflect on the past year and look ahead to 2026/27.
