Goalkeeper (GK) is one of the most vauable positions within Water Polo. If a team has a strong GK they have a strong chance of winning any game. A great GK not only stops shots at a high level as the last line of defence but, is the captain and commander of defence and an intimidator of the opposition.
This makes the development of GKs within ACT essential for the advancement of our teams within the community.
The program will be for our current ACT representative GKs who will be invited to these sessions.
This program will consist of 4 sessions over 4 different weeks
Week 1: 18th August
Week 2: 25th August
Week 3: 8th September
Week 4: 15th September
The aim of these sessions is to build an understanding of the GK position and also enhance the skills, technique and more intricate parts of the position.
