What is the development squad?

The development squad is for players who were not selected into the ACT representative squad but still wish to develop their skills and train with athletes from other clubs. 

The development squad will be run by experienced players and coaches, aiming to develop key fundamental water polo skills in a fun environment.

Training sessions

Training sessions will be held from week 3 to week 10 of term 2, 2024. More details are below:

When: Sundays

Times: 12:15 - 13:45 

Location: CISAC, Belconnen

Training Costs

The cost of training is $165 (including GST) for term 3. This will be invoiced shortly and is due within 2 weeks of issuing the invoice.

Head Coach – Matt Wilson

Matt is a member of the Aussie Sharks National Squad and made his debut for the Sharks in 2024 against Greece. Matt has played professionally in Greece and Spain, with highlights including reaching the final of the European Challenger Cup. Matt has been an ACT athlete since he was 12 years old and is currently an ACT senior representative team member.
