EOI FOR WPACT YOUTH SUBCOMMITTEE
Water Polo ACT (WPACT) is calling for expressions of interest from suitable individuals to fill a newly created WPACT Youth Subcommittee.
Who: Are you between 15 and 21 years of age, a current member as a player, coach, referee or volunteer, are passionate about water polo and looking to build your leadership skills? Then this committee could be for you!
Committee Purpose: The purpose of the Committee is to provide an opportunity for younger members of the Water Polo community to have a voice in the overall direction of Water Polo in the ACT. The Committee members will provide an important and different view on the topics at hand, impacting Water Polo based on their own experiences with the sport. The Committee is not to only represent the interest of younger participants, but more importantly to provide a young participants view on the entire sport and to have a voice in its future direction.
Expectations: Committee members would be expected to meet virtually at least 4 times a year of which they would be expected to review pre-prepared material and/or provide opinions and contribute to discussions across topics such as participation, competitions, pathways, coaching and refereeing.
Interested?: Express your interest by completing an online nomination form before 29th October 2021. Your nomination needs to include;
· Your current Resume including Water Polo contribution as a PDF attachment, and;
· A short response to why you want to make a difference in water polo.
