Led by the Water Polo Australia (WPA), National Age Group Program (NAGP) coaches, athletes will be taken through several drills to test their skills and to develop new techniques. Athletes will have their skills assessed, with feedback given to WPACT coaches to on areas for improvement leading into the upcoming National State Championships training phase. This opportunity will be treated as an informal Talent Identification opportunity for the NAGP coaches when selecting squads at the National State Championships in September, similar to a coach attending another tournament to identify talent. No selections will be made at this event.

 

Age groups:

Cadet - Born 2007, 2008 and 2009

Youth - Born 2004, 2005 and 2006

 

Open to:

Athletes from Canberra, Wagga Wagga and Ovens and Murray

 

Location:

Canberra International Sports and Aquatic Centre - CISAC, Belconnen

 

Sessions:

Saturday - 2x 1.5 hour sessions

Sunday - 2x 1.5 hour sessions

 

Cost:

$250 per athlete. Includes; pool entry, pool hire, coach expenses, educational resources.

 

Enrolment Process:

Players are to complete the registration form and pay by Friday 12th November. Information about the weekend will be sent out by Wednesday 17th November 2021.
