A rare opportunity: A Guided Tour of the Wangaratta Woollen Mills
Join us for an opportunity to experience an iconic Wangaratta industry prior to closure and potential demolition. Discover what once stood where, and hear stories of the people and places that shaped Wangaratta's past—from the mill's establishment in the 1860s as one of Victoria's premier textile manufacturers, through its wartime production when the mills ran around the clock producing blankets and uniforms for Australian servicemen, to its final years of operation when the familiar hum of the looms and the sight of workers changing shifts were still part of everyday life in Wangaratta.
🕙 Tour Time: All Woollen Mills tours begin at 10:00 AM
📍 Meeting Point: Wangaratta Woollen Mills, parking off Woodbine Ave, Wangaratta
