As part of the 2020 Whitsundays Clipper Race Carnival, Whitsunday Sailing Club will again host the Little Ripper Clipper Cup, providing the clipper boat competitors an opportunity to try some real sailing in the club’s Hobie Waves and RS Quest dinghies. The event is a knock out format, with teams competing in a “round robin” series, with the lowest scoring teams eliminated at the end of each round.
To enable the community to experience the spectacle, Whitsunday Sailing Club will host a Long Lunch on the balcony on Thursday 16th January, commencing at 11:30am. In addition to the spectacular 5 course meal matched with a range of Australian wines, you will be overlooking the race course, set directly in front of the club. An expert commentator will be on hand to explain the strategies and happenings on the water.
