Whitsunday Sailing Club
Whitsunday Sailing Club Ltd, Mackay Sailing Club, Cruising Yacht Club of Hamilton Island and North Queensland Cruising Yacht Club, as the joint organising authority, invite owners of suitably found boats to apply for entry in the Advanced Alarms Mackay Whitsunday Offshore Yacht Racing Circuit (WOYRC) Series. The annual 3 day regatta starts with a competitors' briefing at Mackay Sailing Club (MSC) on Friday 1st October. The race will start from the Mackay Harbour on Saturday 2nd October, with boats racing from Mackay to Hamilton Island, where they remain overnight as guests of Cruising Yacht Club of Hamilton Island (CYCHI).
For those who survive Saturday night, it is off again in the morning with a race around various islands of the Whitsundays, finishing at Airlie Beach, where they will be hosted by the Whitsunday Sailing Club (WSC).
After another big night, it is another morning start for the race from Airlie Beach to Bowen where the final presentations will be hosted by the North Queensland Cruising Yacht Club (NQCYC).
