The Mighty Magpies were established in 1969 and have had a proud tradition in the Ipswich Hockey Association ever since.

Wests welcomes and caters to female and male players of all ages and abilities.
We have teams in all grades ranging from Hookin2Hockey (U5/U7/9-12 yrs), junior competition grades, and senior teams from social through to A Grade.

Hook in2 Hockey

Hook in2 Hockey gives girls and boys 4  to 12 years the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills and make friends all while beginning their lifelong love of hockey!

Participants undertake this introductory program in age groups:

• 5 and under (born 2019 and younger),
• 7 and under (born 2017 & 2018) and
• 9 and under (born 2015, 2014, 2013 & 2012) age group
