Squash NSW Stakeholder Forum Report - 27 April 2025

Published Tue 29 Apr 2025

On Sunday 27 April, the Wenty Leagues Squash Club committee attended the Squash NSW Stakeholder Forum, held in a hybrid format at Sydney Olympic Park and online. The meeting ran for over three and a half hours and included open and often spirited discussion between Board members and club representatives from across the state.

Key issues raised by stakeholders included:

  • Ongoing communication breakdowns between Squash NSW and clubs
  • Lack of support for grassroots and junior programs
  • Transparency in appointment processes
  • Affiliation fees and their value
  • Difficulties with the rollout of the Rev Sport system
  • Access to coaching and development in regional areas

The Board addressed each of these concerns and outlined a number of actions they intend to implement in response, including improved communication strategies, regional hub development, and support for community-led programs like Squash Girls Can.
