After many great years of dedicated service as Secretary of the Wenty Leagues Squash Club, Graeme Mitchell has decided to not stand for re-election at the AGM to be held on Monday 3^rd June. 

Graeme said in a recent interview, “By then I will have served for 10 years on the Executive Committee, so 2024 is a good year to retire. Plus since the election of the new President, the meeting minutes have gone from 2 pages to 24 and my fingers have had it”.

And so, given this role is a critical one involving the administration of our squash club, the committee felt we would call for nominations early allowing those who are keen, to give some thought into accepting the position.

Ideally, we are looking for a member who is passionate, keen to engage with members, attend Committee meetings, prepare the meeting agenda and minutes, provide updates from Squash Australia & Squash NSW, be involved in the promotion of club events as well as Website and Facebook marketing.

I have attached a nomination form which is to be sent to Graeme Mitchell by Monday 27^th May 2024. The nomination form can also be used for those keen on joining the Executive Committee in the other roles, that of President, Vice President, and Treasurer.

So if you would like to join our Leadership Team for 2024/25, here’s your chance. It’s a satisfying experience and an honour to be part of the Committee and serve our Squash Club which gives us the opportunity to compete on the court and socialise off the court, building friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
