Waverley Hockey Club - 2026 Term 2 - Hookin2Hockey
Details
Program information
Waverley's Hookin2Hockey program Term 2 is mainly aimed at under 6 participants not yet old enough to play in the competition teams. The program focuses on building and expanding the basic skills of hockey through some targetted drills and implementing the learnings during fun and engaging games.
Our 2026 program will run in conjunction with our under 8 and under 10 competition teams. This means Saturday mornings in Term 2 will be at Camberwell Hockey Club's home ground (Matlock Park in Canterbury) and Term 3 will be at Waverley's home ground (Ashwood Reserve). Players also have the option to attend Monday evenings from 5:30 - 6:30 (training time for the under 8s and under 10s). The first training is on Monday 20th April and first Saturday is 2nd May.
Children are welcome to attend a come and try session at any stage during the program before officially registering for the program.
We can also cater for children who are older and looking to start their hockey journeys either in this group or in a competition team. Any questions can be directed directly to Ladze at Ladzenixon13@hotmail.com or to the team at juniors@waverleyhc.org.au including questions on the opportunities for older participants who are new to hockey.
Hockey Australia's official junior program allows kids to make friends and have fun in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment!
