Warwick Hockey 2024 Junior Season Structure
The junior season will begin on Saturday 27 April 2024
Grand Final is the 31st August 2024
This Season our structure will look like:
U8s Hookin2Hockey
- 8:30am – 9:30am
- Training
- mini games
- Saturdays Only
- playing half (turf) field
(As players skills and abilities increase, they will be permitted to play in the U10 competition)
U10s
- 8:30am – 9:30am
- Half field Game
- Mixed Gender Teams
(As players skills and abilities increase, they will be permitted to play in the U12 competition)
U12s
- 9:30am – 10:30am
- Full field games (either grass or turf)
- Gender based teams (2 x Girls Teams and 2 x Boys Teams – depending on Numbers)
- These four teams will play each other in a 4 team round robin competition
- Full hockey rules including short corners.
(As players skills and abilities increase, they will be permitted to play in the U14 competition)
U14s
- 11am – 12pm
- Full field games
- Gender based teams (2 x Girls Teams and 2 x Boys Teams – depending on Numbers)
- These four teams will play each other in a 4 team round robin competition
- Full hockey rules
