Hey [[FIRST_NAME]],

Welcome to our very first newsletter!  We hope the information here keeps you up to date and involved in what is happening in the club and across the different age groups.  If there's something you need to know that isn't covered here, please reach out any time so we can assist you.

We are very quickly creeping into that crazy (but most fun) time of year where events start to take over our weekends and we feel a real connection to our club and other members as we support them all at interclubs and zone competitions.  More than winning prizes, these days are such an important part of building confidence, relationships and team spirit and we are very proud to have almost 90 competitors representing us at our first interclub next month.

With our syllabus all taught and the video now released to all members to practice at home we are at the pointy end of the year where we start to really polish our routines and get them competition ready.  Wherever you are at in your physie journey and whether this is your first or your 15th year, there is much to be gained from engaging and performing the routines you have been steadily learning over the past 4 months!

We can't wait to see you all progress over the coming weeks leading into our first performance.

CLASS OUTINGS
CLASS SOCIAL OUTINGS

Our 5-8 Years took on the bowling alley this month and had an amazing time with their friends!! Congratulations to our top 5 bowlers!

  • 1st - Riley (95)
  • 2nd - Addy (94)
  • 3rd - Georgette (87)
  • 4th - Alicia (86)
  • 5th - Skyla (82)

Big thanks to Tayla and Amy for organising this!!

CLASS SOCIAL OUTINGS

Our 9-12 Years enjoyed a saturday morning at Bungee Fit.  It was such a fun way to be active and silly with our friends for an hour.  Some of us mastered the backflip and the superman and some of us could barely touch the floor, but there was plenty of laughs, plenty of fun and they are already requesting round 2!!

CLASS SOCIAL OUTINGS

Our ladies met an afternoon of barefoot bowls this term.  Although only a few of us knew how to play, the fun was primarily in the sunshine, the company and the marching around the green!! Good times to kick the year off!  Looking forward to our next outing soon....

JUNIOR SKILLS WORKSHOP
  JUNIOR SKILLS WORKSHOP 2

Our juniors had a productive day at our skills workshop this term.  Lots of fun learning and building basic skills was done!  A lot of us went home inspired to keep stretching for our splits!

Our older juniors were able to work on specific skills from this years syllabus to help them along with their routines as well as a refresher on some of the basics.

HANNAH'S GRAND PHOTO SHOOT

The year is flying by - and we are very excited to see Hannah on the cover of her very first Opera House Program in November!  A sneak peak of her shoot in the wee hours of the morning on Sydney Harbour.

STRETCH CLASS
  STRETCH CLASS

Term 2 has seen our 9-12's have a dedicated stretch class on Thursday of each week.  This has really helped this age group come along with their flexibility and seen many of our girls achieve thier splits on one leg, if not both!!!  Congratulations girls.  A special award is underway for those that keep up the good work and achieve the incredible milestone of their splits!!!

Splits are not judged in the junior age groups, but by the time the girls are 13, it is a judging point, so this is the perfect age to achieve this through consistent stretching!

TEACHERS CONFERENCE

This weekend Kerryanne and Mac represented our teaching faculty at the 2026 BJP Teachers Conference.  The weekend was themed MISSION POSSIBLE and has helped to arm them with all the tools they need to be great teachers in a role that is becoming more and more complex with each passing year.  We can't wait for them to share the knowledge they are soaking in with the rest of the team and our members.

HAIR & COMP READINESS INFO NIGHT
HAIR, MAKEUP & COMPETITION INFO NIGHT

For all ages!!

Our resident hairdresser and absolute physie queen, Kia, will be demonstrating a number of looks on the night and how to achieve them.

Bring your daughters and/or your hair tools if you would like to try these styles on the night in real time, OR, feel free to just watch, take notes and try later in the comfort of your own home.  The choice is yours.

We will provide nibbles, drinks and even a few cheeky bubbles on the night and will be there to answer any and all of your questions heading in to the comp season.  If you are new to physie, or just wanting some new hair or makeup tips, please come along and enjoy a couple of hours with us.

FREE PRE-SCHOOLER CLASSES

Term 3 is the perfect time for us to turn our focus to the recruitment of pre-schoolers. These bubbas will be the future of our club and we would love to double our current co-hort. To help this along, we are offering the remainder of the Physie year for FREE to all of our FAIRIES. We would love you to bring a pre-school friend along to classes.

We'd also love to hear from you if our class times are a barrier to growing these classes..... A little survey is coming your way re: our FAIRIES CLASS TIMES.

AND FINALLY - our WP Tutus are coming for our new fairies. If any of our previous members have lost or misplaced their tutus they will be available in the WP shop for replacement, but all new fairies receive a tutu with their membership.

REMINDERS
  • WATER BOTTLES - Please don't forget to bring a water bottle to class.  We often have kids (especially in out 9-12 group when they are usually responsible for themselves) arriving to class with no water.

  • SPECTATING - Please when watching classes from the foyer try to keep noise to a minimum.  This includes siblings and children who are awaiting their lesson.  We understand that sometimes they need to be dropped early and / or wait for their siblings lesson, but the noise can get quite distracting for the class who are trying to give their attnention to their teacher.  This is usually most prevalent in our 5-8 year age groups.  Thanks for understanding.

  • FEEDBACK / SUGGESTIONS - We welcome feedback and suggestions from our members year around so that we can make everyones experience at our club as great as we can.  If you would like to provide feedback or offer suggestions - we welcome you to do so on the link below.  This can be done anonymously if you prefer, however we would love you to leave your name so that we can follow up for more information if we need to, or feedback to you with regards to your request.
