Vale Rebecca Penny

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our dear friend, teammate, and Life Member, Rebecca Penny.
Beck was a proud part of the Walkerville Cats' golden era, playing A Grade throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s and contributing to many premiership wins. After stepping away to raise her beautiful boys, Matthew and Douglas, she returned to the diamond in our B Grade team — and of course, added another premiership to her name.
Beck was graceful and kind, warm and dignified. She had a quiet strength, a wicked sense of humour, and a heart that welcomed everyone. She was liked by all who met her and loved by many.
Over her years with the club, Beck built many lifelong friendships — connections forged through team spirit, shared laughter, and a love of the game. Her unwavering support of the Walkerville Cats Softball Club was something truly special — and something we will always hold dear.
Our thoughts and love are with Kym, Matthew, and Douglas during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you, Beck, for everything. You will be forever missed and never forgotten.
