2025/26 VVESC Coaches
As you may have seen via our Facebook post, the club coaches for the upcoming season have been appointed.

Men – Coach: Troy Harrison

A Grade – Coach: Hayley Mayer / Assistant Coach: Judith Lukas

B Grade – Coach:  Sharon Perkins / Assistant Coach: Lisa Wilson

C Grade – Coaching positions remain vacant (advertising to continue)

Under 16 – Caitlyn Cattuzzo

Teeball – Co-Coaches: Jenna Sanderson & Shannyn Wilson

I look forward to working with our new coaches this season and I hope their energy and experience helps to continue the growth and success across the entire club.

We will continue advertising for a C Grade Coach however if you know of anyone (or have a burning desire!), please contact the club via secretary@eagles.asn.au so we can have this important role filled as soon as possible.

Lastly, I would like to extend a final thank you to Michele and Dylan Bonnar, who will not be returning to VVESC for the upcoming season. I wish them all the best in their future endeavours.

Pre-Season Training
Pre-season training will be commencing Sunday 10 August 2025 at Hargrave Reserve, Modbury Heights.

Teeball and all Juniors (U14 & U16) will start at 10am.

Senior Women and Men will start from 11am.

Please ensure you arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand, so you are ready to start on time.

All training participants will be required to complete an online form (via QR code) to register their interest in playing this season and to ensure all your emergency contact and medical information is relevant.

Trainings will continue each Sunday (excluding 7 September - Father’s Day and 5 October – Labour Day long weekend).

Teeball, Junior and Senior Womens trainings will then change over to Tuesday nights from 7 October (after daylight savings has commenced).

Further information will be released regarding Mens in-season training sessions.

CDSA Season Commencement
The club has been advised that the 2025/26 CDSA season will be commencing from Saturday 11 October 2025.

As with previous seasons, there will be scheduled breaks over Christmas and during the first part of 2026 for Junior and Senior State Championships however to save confusion, we will await formal announcements of the draw from CDSA before this information is shared.

We have not yet been informed when the Mens season will commence. More information to be released when known.

Club Uniform
As of this upcoming season, all VVESC players must now be in the new uniform. The old-style blue uniform will no longer be allowed by CDSA as our uniform transition period has come to an end.

Please ensure if you are a continuing player, you have transitioned to the new-style yellow uniform. This can be ordered from Uniform Officer, Kim Sanderson once pre-season commences.

The club is also exploring options for new player, officials and supporter merchandise for the upcoming season. More information to be released in the future.

Social Media
This season I would like to welcome on board Keryn Brennan and Caitlyn Cattuzzo (and some helpers) who will be looking after our social media and website pages.

The website will be completely remodelled with new and relevant information updated. This is a very big job and will not happen overnight!

However – we are now on Instagram! There will be general information and some fun things happening on here during the season so stay tuned! This will also help increase our social media visibility and have a new platform to promote any club events, game day pictures and sponsors, etc.

Club News and Announcements
For the continuing interim, all club announcements will continue to be made to via our external Facebook page, internal Facebook members group as well as club member email.

Before the season commences, all internal member communication that is normally done via the internal Facebook members group will transition to Spond.

Spond is a club management app that will simplify and better organise all the member communication including committee and team chats, event planning etc.

The transition to Spond will also help ensure that all club communication is directly shared with everyone who needs to see it and not get lost in the algorithms of Facebook.

In addition, with the inclusion of teeball and junior players to the club, the app also allows for parents and guardians to reply on behalf of their child and is an added safeguard for our junior players.

More information will be released about the use of Spond this season in the near future.

Club Schnitzel Night – Save the Date!
Our schnitzel fundraising tour continues this season…!!! VVESC have secured a schnitzel fundraising night at The Lodge Hotel on Tuesday 9 September from 6pm.

$5 from every schnitzel sold in the entire establishment will be donated back to the club.

There will be no formal announcements or presentations on the evening, but we encourage all our club members, families and wider community to attend and help support our club.

Table bookings to be made directly via The Lodge on 8258 3333.
