By registering to participate with Van Diemen Fencing Club in the Pride Parade, I acknowledge and agree that:

• I am participating voluntarily and understand that taking part in a public parade involves normal risks associated with walking, crowds, weather, traffic, costumes/props, and public events.
• I will follow reasonable instructions from Van Diemen Fencing Club organisers and parade/event officials, and will behave in accordance with the Club’s Code of Conduct and values of inclusion, respect, and safety.
• I am responsible for considering my own health, mobility, and other needs when deciding whether and how to participate, and will advise an organiser if I require adjustments or assistance so I can participate.
• I understand that photographs and video may be taken by the Club, event organisers, media, and members of the public. While the Club will respect any photography preferences communicated to us for our own media, we cannot control photography or filming in a public space.
• To the extent permitted by law, I accept the ordinary risks associated with my voluntary participation. Nothing in this acknowledgement excludes or limits any rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.

For participants under 18: Registration must be completed or approved by a parent/guardian, who consents to the young person’s participation and acknowledges the above on their behalf.

By submitting my registration, I confirm that I have read and agree to this waiver.
