This course is for students who have completed Start Sailing 1 and Start Sailing 2 and are now ready to progress towards fleet racing under the guidance and supervision of coaches. 

Students will learn to be more independent with the rigging and unrigging of their boats.

The first part of each lesson will focus on learning and progression, and then the sailors will join the race fleet to put what they've learned in to practice.

Course Overview

This course focuses on sailing in stronger winds and introducing extra equipment like spinnaker and trapeze to leverage the full boat potential on the water.

Course Prerequisites

Water confident, and you should have the skills, knowledge and experience gained from the Start Sailing 2 course.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to continue developing their sailing skills in dinghies. 

Course Outcome

You will gain your Better Sailing completion certificate.
