Events will run as close as possible to the schedule start time. Any adjustments will be notified as soon as possible after entries close.
1. All events shall be conducted in accordance with the rules of World Athletics, Athletics Australia and Athletics Tasmania.
2. Entries will close at 10.00pm on Thursday 10th September 2026. Entry fees should be paid online. The cost is $20.00 per individual event or $50 for all four events. Please note - refunds will not be given under any circumstances.
3. Athletes must be currently registered with an Australian Athletics/Australia Masters Athletics Member Association.
4. Age Qualification – Athletes must turn at least 12 years of age in the year of competition to enter this event. Age is determined at the 31 December 2026, with the exception of Masters registered athletes which is determined by age on the day of competition.
5. Para-athletes will, where possible, compete simultaneously with other athletes in each event entered.
6. Athletes who wish to include their own throwing implements in the equipment pool (private implements may be used by any athlete in the competition), must lodge them with the Technical Manager at the Technical Equipment Room, no later than 60 minutes before the scheduled starting time of the event. The implements will be impounded until the completion of the competition when athletes may collect them.
7. Shoes - In Shot Put, Discus Throw and Hammer Throw, any shoes may be worn. For Javelin, only shows deemed approved by World Athletics may be worn. Please click HERE for the current list of approved shoes.
8. Athletes will can utilise the track to warm up without throwing implements. Sufficient time will be allocated for athletes to warm up in the throw circles/javelin runway prior to competition.
9. Each athlete will have three trials for each event, with the top eight in each age group receiving an additional three trials (six in total).
10. No call room will operate for this event. Athletes are required to be at site no later than 20 minutes prior to the schedule start time of their event.
No canteen will operate on the day, please bring food/drinks with you.
