UQ Sport 1500m Classic
Event information
UQ Sport is proud to host the annual UQ Sport 1500m Classic at the UQ Sport Athletics Centre, bringing together junior athletes, university students, elite competitors, masters athletes and spectators for a night of high-quality middle-distance racing.
Held at The University of Queensland since 2004, the 1500m Classic has become a highlight of the Queensland Athletics calendar and is recognised as a World Athletics Permit Meet.
A Night of 1500m Racing
The 1500m Classic is dedicated entirely to the 1500m, with races catering for athletes across a range of ages and abilities.
The program features school-aged races, university and open competition, masters races, and the headline Men's and Women's Classic 1500m races, bringing some of the region's best athletes together on the track.
With a competitive atmosphere, quality fields and plenty on the line, the Classic offers athletes the opportunity to chase a personal best, compete for the podium or experience racing in a major athletics meet.

There is more than $8,500 worth of cash prizes, products and vouchers available to athletes across the meet.
