|| WHAT'S HAPPENING ||

We are heading to the lovely location of Shellharbour for our weekend trip away in May. This trip will offer a combination of shore or boat dives depending on what you feel like on the day.

The diving in Shellharbour is great, sheltered, and friendly to divers of all experience levels. Perfect for anyone who has just done their open water or someone looking to polish up on their skills after some time off.

For the shark lovers amongst us, Bushranger's Bay is the perfect spot to hangout with the local Grey Nurse Sharks.

If you think a full day of splashing in the sea may leave you thirsty, Saturday night will also be party night! (Theme TBA).

*If you are uncomfortable sharing a house and possibly a room with people you don’t know, this trip is unfortunately not for you.

|| COST ||

$130 – includes 2 nights’ accommodation; all meals on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday and drinks for the party night! (Drinks will be provided however those with more discerning tastes are welcome to BYO).

|| DIVING ||

We are planning to dive all day on Saturday, with both boat and shore dives planned at local dive sites to be determined closer to the date. Further dives will also be possible on Sunday for those who are interested.

Air fills at local dive shops will be approx. ~$10.

In order to participate in the organised dives, you will need to have your dive certification and be competent and confident in your swimming abilities. You should have dived within the past 12 months and be comfortable to dive in a buddy pair without a dive guide (we aren’t a commercial dive shop).

|| GEAR ||

You are responsible for organising your own gear. BCDs, tanks, regulators, wetsuits, masks, fins and weights are all available to hire from the club through our gear hire portal - https://www.revolutionise.com.au/underwaterclub/gear-hire-portal/ 

You will need to book, collect, clean, dry and return any hired club gear.

|| GETTING THERE ||

Shellharbour is a short scenic 90 minutes drive south of Sydney or just under 24 hours walking by foot. 

Everyone is responsible for organising their own transport (including dive gear). We will have a group chat to help coordinate carpooling.

|| BOOKING ||

Tickets on sale 19:00 pm on Monday, 5th May 2025. 

Bookings for this trip will open at 19:00pm on Monday, 5th May 2025. You will need to be a paid 2025 member to register. Please note that the number of attendees on this trip are limited so be quick to register (we suggest setting a reminder on your phone). A waitlist will be opened at 19:10pm on Monday 5th May 2025 for those that miss out in case of cancellations.

Further details regarding this trip will be sent to members after they register and pay - beds are allocated on a first paid, first served basis, so get in quick!
